Microsoft could be bringing some much-needed improvements to the way we get notifications on our devices – that's based on a job posting that's been spotted, for a role working on Windows Core OS, the next big operating system from Microsoft.

According to an online tipster – and one who's been right in the past – preorders for the next-gen Sony PlayStation 5 are going to open on March 5, for a November 20 launch. That seems on the early side to us, but mark your calendars just in case.

Apple has been keen to get its Apple TV app and Apple TV Plus service on as many smart TVs as possible, and we just got news that they'll be rolling out to older LG OLED, Nanocell and UHD models, as well as to newer sets in LG's range.

Samsung announced it was getting into smart speakers two years ago, but we're yet to see any devices – that's set to change on February 12, when the Galaxy Home Mini is launched, based on a press release Samsung published and then pulled.

Samsung is set to show off the clamshell Galaxy Z Flip on February 11, but a true Galaxy Fold successor is also on the way – a new leak suggests that its codename is 'Winner2' (the Fold was 'Winner'), and that it'll arrive in both 4G and 5G versions.
